Event summary:
As part of the Sustain-a-bite Project, the Behind Every Bite campaign was launched at IBA Bucharest to promote responsible food consumption and reduce food waste by raising awareness among students about the environmental impact of daily eating habits.
The IBA researchers involved in the project held engaging and informal talks with around 30–40 students — including PhD and master’s students — offering accessible insights into food sustainability. Through open dialogue, they encouraged participants to reflect on their food choices, adopt more eco-friendly habits, and become active contributors to a more sustainable campus culture.
The event was part of the broader Sustain-a-bite campaign, which aims to make sustainable eating practical, relatable, and community-driven across Europe.
